Police on stop & search arrests fleeing shop breakers, recover items | read more

Police operatives on stop and search duty in the early hours of Sunday, intercepted two suspected shop breakers; Adeyemi Ibrahim (24) and Taiwo Adisa (45) with stolen items.

According to the Lagos state police command PRO, Benjamin Hundeyin, the suspects were intercepted at about 6:30am in a mini bus with a generator, gas cylinder and Bluetooth speaker.

The PRO said the owner of the shop has been arrested and the suspects would be prosecuted.

The PRO wrote;

STOP-AND-SEARCH: At about 6:30am, patrol officers from Oko-Oba Division intercepted 24-year-old Adeyemi Ibrahim and 45-year-old Taiwo Adisa in a mini bus popularly known as Korope, with one generator, one gas cylinder and one Bluetooth speaker.

Upon questioning, it turned out they just broke into a shop in Iju-Ishaga area and stole the items. Shop owner has been contacted for return of property. Prosecution follows.
