BE RESOLUTE IN YOUR SUPPORT FOR GOV UMO ENO, FRANK ARCHIBONG CHARGES EKET PDP FAITHFULS

Honourable Commissioner, Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mr. Frank Archibong, has urged stakeholders and faithfuls of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Eket local Government Area to remain resolute in their support for Governor Umo Eno in order to attract sustainable growth and peaceful coexistence to the LGA and the State.

Archibong, who noted that the Governor’s peaceful nature is an ideal philosophy from which he drew strength and inspiration to develop and ensure sustainability of peace and unity in the State, gave the charge while addressing stakeholders and party faithful who converged for a breakfast/Thank you meeting at his Ikot Ibiok residence, on Saturday, in Eket.
He said their continued support to the policy drives of the present administration and the PDP must be selfless, charging them to emulate the sterling leadership style of the Governor as clearly manifested in his ARISE Agenda developmental blueprint which, he said is visibly spread and acknowledged across the State.

“As a people anticipating more government presence, we must promote peace, embrace unity and support efforts toward consolidating democracy. We have seen the landmark achievements so far recorded by Governor Umo Eno since he came on board; so, we in Eket will continue to show true commitment by encouraging him to do more which we will use as our message for the people for his 2nd term bid come 2027” Frank stated.

In their captivating goodwill messages, immediate past member for Eket state constituency, Dr. David Lawrence, Dr Dominic Ukpong, Chapter chairman of PDP in Eket, Mr. Uso Isong, Immediate past chapter chairman/State Organizing Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, Obongiwaad Emmanuel Mbong, Akwa Obonganwan Comfort Enodien, who spoke on behalf of women stakeholders, Mr. Joseph Edoho(Youths structure) students representative, among others, praised the Governor for deepening development to the grassroot, reaffirming their total support to the Government of Pastor Umo Eno, assuring him of reelection come 2027.

On his part, the Executive Chairman of Eket local Government Area, Mkpisong Akaniyene Tommey, in his thank you message, expressed deep gratitude to the Governor for finding him worthy, promising to partner with the people of Eket to ensure development thrives in the area in line with the ARISE Agenda policy.

“We are in for a good time because Governor Umo Eno is the best gift to Akwa people and I will work assiduously to ensure his 2027 reelection victory. By the grace of God and as the Chairman of Eket, by the time we are done, you will be proud to say that you stood by the Governor and PDP. Before the year runs out, the government of Eket LGA will come out with a super empowerment scheme to impact lives and alleviate poverty”

Tommey, said he is who is today because of the foundation he came from. He laid emphasis that the gift of Frank Archibong to Eket makes the leadership and governance easy and completely balanced.

“Frank Archibong has done so well for the people of Eket. He has selflessly touched and impacted lives, he has laid impressive legacies which are obvious and I’m proud seeing the best of me through him”

The council Boss, who was overwhelmingly reelected for a 2nd term in office following his established legacy footprint and acceptability, also appreciated all of the leaders in the LGA for their genuine support during the last election.

He congratulated the immediate past state lawmaker, Dr. David Lawrence and the chapter chairman, Mr. Usoh Hanson, saying they are gifted leaders.
