BREAKING: PDP Wins First Polling Unit in Edo Guber Election

Asue Ighodalo, the candidate from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has won at the Idumuoka Primary Health Centre polling unit in Igueben Local Government Area, Edo State.

The official results show that Ighodalo received 104 votes.

His closest rival, Monday Okpebholo from the All Progressives Congress (APC), got 34 votes. Olumide Akpata from the Labour Party finished third with just 4 votes.

The Edo State election, an off-cycle election in the country, features three key contenders vying for the governorship seat: Ighodalo of the PDP, Senator Monday Okpebholo of the APC, and Olumide Akpata of the Labour Party (LP).

A total of 17 candidates are officially in the running for the position.
