Commissioner flags off distribution of starter kits, broiler chicks in Yobe

The Commissioner for Women Affairs in Yobe State, Hon. Yajalo Badama, has flagged off the distribution of starter kits and broiler chicks to women and youths in the state.

It was organised the Ministry of Women Affairs  in collaboration with a non governmental organisation.

Thirty-four beneficiaries were trained intensively for two days on brooding,  vaccines, intensive hygiene, types of diseases and practicals on finisher feed formulation.

While flagging of the distribution programme, the commissioner for women affairs charged the beneficiaries to grow their chicks to the point of sale while praying for a successful farming.

While advocating skills acquisition among women and youths, Yajalo outlined the achievements of her ministry in that respect as she has successfully trained and distributed starter kits of different skills to over 3,000 women across the state.
