EKET PDP OPENS REGISTER TO AUDIT MEMBERS ATTENDANTS OF PARTY’S ACTIVITIES
…condole with Mr. Johnson Esenowo over Mother’s Demise
In a bid to strengthen the party and foster greater commitment among its members, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) under the leadership of Hon. Uso Hanson, as the Chapter Chairman of the Party in Eket LGA, has provided a register for party faithful.
This was initiated during the Condolence Visit to the Councillorship candidate of Urban 1, Mr. Johnson Esenowo aka Total at his residence in Idua.
The initiative is designed to monitor the commitment and participation of members in the party’s activities at all levels.
While giving his remarks the Chairmanship Candidate Mr. Akaniyene Tommey, commended the initiative, noting that, “the register will serve as a yardstick to measure the commitment of the members. This is a step toward greater accountability and fostering unity in the party”.
The Ward Chairmen of the party in the 14 Wards will be in custody of the register and to be updated during party’s activities such as condolence visits, rallies, and other meetings of the party.
The register is to be signed and endorsed by the Chapter Chairman after every event.
The Chapter Chairman earlier in his remarks emphasized the importance of unity and solidarity among members, especially in moments of personal loss.
In attendance were the Transition Committee Chairman Hon. Comfort Emmanuel, Former State Assembly Member, Rt. Hon. David Lawrence, PDP Chairmanship Candidate Mr. Akaniyene Tommey, immediate past chapter Chairman Obongiwaad Emmanuel Mbong, Elder, Inyang Ebuk, Former Leader Eket Legislative Assembly Hon. Kufre Ekpe, Labour Chairman Mr. Godwin Ndueso, Mr. Richard Ekanem, Mr. Essiet Nsudo aka Rockefeller, SAs to the Gov. Dr. Eneh John, Mr. Mfon Bassey and Hon. Joseph Charles, Deac. Emmanuel Assam (Imaco).
Councillorship Candidates, Chapter Officers and Ward Chairmen, Transition Committee Members, Former Chapter Officers, Former Supervisors, former councillors and other party faithful were in attendance.
