A fire outbreak at a section of the Lagos Blue Line rail track located at the NEPA Station, near the Eko Bridge, in the Apogbon area of Lagos State.
Gboyega Akosile, the spokesman for the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, wrote about the incident on his ‘X’ handle, saying there was no record of casualties.
He added that there was no train service at the time of the incident.

“No casualty is reported and no train service at the time of the incident. A team of safety and emergency personnel and other first responders had completely put out the fire,” he stated.
He further stated that a team of safety and emergency personnel, along with other first responders, had completely extinguished the fire.
“Lagosians in that area can go about their business peacefully as the situation is under control.
“Kindly await further details on the operations of the train from @Lamataonline,” he posted.
