Firm introduces sanitiser to combat toilet infections

Experts at Shodan Pharmaceuticals Limited have stressed the need for Nigerians to do everything possible to fight infections.

Executive Vice-President at the pharmaceutical firm, Daniel Okeoma said after malaria, the second issue that brings people to pharmacy is infection, even as he declared that ladies are more at risk.

He spoke in Lagos when Shodan Pharmaceuticals launched a new toilet seat sanitiser spray, SITFINE, which according to it can prevent urinary tract infections (UTI), staphylococcus aureus, candida albicans, globulus aureus, vagina trichromaisis and sexually transmitted infections (STI).

Okeoma said this during a media briefing organised by Shodan Pharmaceuticals Limited.

“SITFINE is a toilet seat sanitiser spray, which is an effective way to maintain personal hygiene and protect yourself from germs and bacteria when using restrooms,” he said.

“I know how much people spend treating infections and that is we have introduced Sitfine, a clinically approved toilet seat sanitiser by the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), and produced by Excid Pharmaceutical Limited.

“This product effectively eliminates 99.9 per cent of germs. It protects against germs and bacteria. If germ is not treated, it can also affect the reproductive organ,” he said.
