GOV. UMO ENO RECEIVES A’IBOM GOSPEL ARTISTES, BUCHI ON CONDOLENCE VISIT

says late First Lady lived up to her name

Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno has eulogised his late wife, Pastor (Mrs) Patience Umo Eno, saying she lived up to her name.

Responding to messages of condolence from some prominent Akwa Ibom born gospel artistes, who visited him in company of another renown gospel artiste, Buchi Atuonwu, at Government House, Uyo, the Governor said she would be greatly missed, having been with her for about 40 years of his life.

He noted that she was a major force in the successes so far recorded in his life, adding that she was his source of motivation, pillar of strength and support.

According to him, “The passing of my wife is quite shocking to us, but thank God for the Holy Spirit that has helped us. The scripture that has given me strength is that we are perplexed, but we are not despair.

“Her name was Patience, and she lived up to it. She showed a lot of patience with me. I will truly miss her, and for me, it will be for a lifetime ” he added.

The Governor who appreciated the delegation for their condolences and words of encouragement, said the family was greatly encouraged by the overwhelming expression of love from all and sundry.

Speaking on behalf of the delegation, Mrs. Aity Dennis and Pastor Nathaniel Bassey, noted that their visit to the state was often for celebrations and concerts, but it was necessary to, also, visit, at this period, to share in the grief of the Governor, the First Family, and the entire State as instructed by the scriptures.

“We came to mourn with you, and we are not mourning like those who don’t know the word. We stand with you, we mourn with you, and we trust God to continue to console you at this challenging time,” She said.

The emotion – laden meeting, featured a song of condolence led by Buchi Atuonwu, and a prayer for the family.

In the team were; Pastor Aity Dennis -Inyang, Pastor Nathaniel Bassey, Pastor Emmanuel Emefienim, Deacon Buchi Atuonwu, Minister Moses Bliss, Mr. Steve Crown, Pastor Favour Queen, and others.
