Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, is walking the talk. He has consistently proven that he came prepared to serve the people.
Several projects have been initiated and completed while many more are ongoing. Akwa Ibom is fast becoming a destination of choice for investment and tourism.
This milestone achievement is as a result of the untiring effort of Governor Umo Eno, whose passion is to drive sustainable development in the state, through his economic blueprint- The ARISE Agenda.
The hospitality guru, Servant of God cum Governor of Akwa Ibom State has been applauded for his outstanding leadership style by people within and outside Nigeria. Such commendations came from notable leaders like the President and Commander-In-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, President of the Nigerian Senate and Former Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Senator Godswill Akpabio, former Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Udoma Udo Udoma and a host of other leaders.
Recently, Governor Umo Eno formally received Airbus A220-300. The State Executive Council approved the acquisition of two additional CRJ Aircraft last week.
The additional aircraft will improve the status of Ibom Air.
This goes to show that Governor Umo Eno is not just introducing new projects, he is interested in managing and sustaining the projects embarked upon by previous administrations.
When the Ibom Industrial Park has been fully set up, it will drive in investment, job opportunities will be created and economic activities will increase rapidly.
We must also give kudos to the Governor for the reclamation of Ibom Tropicana Entertainment Centre lander property. The 14- storey Tropicana Hotel, Theme Park and 5000 Capacity Conference Facility, upon completion will not just serve as a world class tourist attraction centre, It will also grow our internally generated revenue.
Tourism forms part of the first Aspiration of The ARISE Agenda. While maintaining and developing tourist attraction centres built by previous administrations, Pastor Umo Eno has converted a gully erosion site to a tourist zone, named “The ARISE Park”.
The State-of-the-art recreational Park, which is under construction, is expected to have an artificial lakes, floating bars, water falls, mini shopping centres, Sports Arena, Swimming Pool, Children Amusement ground, Police Post and Medical Centre.
A lot of conferences and seminars have been hosted in the Akwa Ibom because of the peaceful ambience of the State and the hospitable nature of Akwa Ibomites. Akwa Ibom is waxing stronger because of the proactive, sensitive, compassionate and people-friendly leadership style of Governor Umo Eno.
