Job Title: Hospital Accountant
Location: Yaba, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Job Responsibilities
Prepare Asset, Liability and Capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information
Document Financial transaction and reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information
Develop and implement appropriate accounting processes.
Develop, review and implement credit control measures and facilitates debit recovery model
Process payment to partners and vendors.
Budget preparation , account reconciliation and formulation of the company’s yearly financial analyses and projection.
Prepare regular (monthly, quarterly and year end ) financial reports and account statements ensuring accuracy and timelines.
Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and generally accepted accounting procedures.
Manage financial expenditure, including accruals , accounts payable, running costs, staff expenses, administrative costs, Vat, Taxation and other statutory.
Maintain professionalism in all duties including confidentiality in financial processes.
Remittance of statutory payment promptly.
Manages book-keeping and accounting procedures, ensuring they are in accordance with established processes and procedures.
Follow-up with the Client services ensuring all remitted cash, transfer, cheques, are in accordance with the bill or invoices on the EMR and Excel sheet.
Completion of all On-boarding activities for each new staff.
Coordinate monthly stock taking and report.
Participate in quarterly performance assessment.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting or equivalent work experience
Experience with accounting software is a plus, Proficiency in Microsoft Office
3 – 5 years experience working in the Health sector
Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and principles
Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.
