How House of Reps member, Tunji Akinosi assaulted policeman at public event in Ogun [VIDEO]

Tunji Akinosi, a member of the Nigerian House of Representatives representing Ado-Odo/Ota Federal Constituency, has been caught on camera assaulting a policeman.

In a viral video shared on X, the federal lawmaker was seen assaulting a police officer at the 2023 Iganmode Day Celebration held in Sango-Ota, Ogun State.

The altercation erupted when the policeman, attached to the convoy of Ogun Deputy Governor Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele attempted to clear the pathway for the deputy governor at the event.

According to accounts, Akinosi became agitated when security personnel directed him and other guests to vacate their seats to clear the pathway for the deputy governor.

This purportedly led to Akinosi physically assaulting the policeman, though nearby individuals intervened swiftly to assist the security personnel.

The incident at the Iganmode Day Celebration follows an earlier incident in May, where Akinosi was reportedly involved in another altercation.

A video circulated on social media then depicted an altercation involving Akinosi and a woman who intervened after his vehicle allegedly knocked down a street hawker in Lagos.

The video showcased a heated confrontation between Akinosi and the woman recording the incident. In the footage, the lawmaker is seen issuing threats towards the woman.
