Judge releases filing with new details in Trump election interference case

Special counsel Jack Smith argued in a new filing that former President Trump was “fundamentally” acting as a private candidate and not as president when he tried to overturn the 2020 election. The filing was an attempt by Smith to preserve the case against Trump after the Supreme Court’s presidential immunity decision. NBC News’ Ken Dilanian reports.
