The governor of Kaduna State, Uba Sani has approved N72,000 as the new minimum wage for state workers.
A statement issued by the governor’s chief press secretary, Ibraheem Musa said payment of the new minimum wage will take effect from November 2024.
Musa confirmed that the new wage approved is part of the governor’s commitment to Kaduna state workers.
According to Musa, the approval is also aimed at the living conditions of the low-income, the vulnerable and the underserved communities.
Musa highlighted the governor’s longstanding commitment to advancing workers’ rights, enhancing their welfare and supporting disadvantaged groups in the state.
He also said that the governor is committed to implementing policies that would uplift the downtrodden in the state.
