Ondo election: Akpabio listed as APC unveils 305-member council led by Gov Sanwo-Olu

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has been appointed to chair the 305-member All Progressives Congress (APC) National Gubernatorial Campaign Council for Ondo State before the November 16, 2024, governorship election.

Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi and Governor Bassey Otu of Cross River will assist him as deputy chairmen.

The council includes several prominent APC members such as Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas, and Secretary to the Government of the Federation George Akume.

Notably, former Deputy Senate President Senator Ovie Omo-Agege will serve as the council’s secretary.

Additionally, all APC governors, over a dozen ministers, and notable figures such as former APC national chairmen Chief John Oyegun and Chief Bisi Akande are part of the campaign team.

The council also includes former Senate Presidents Anyim Pius Anyim and Ken Nnamani.

The move is part of the APC’s strategy to ensure victory in the Ondo election.
