People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Akwa Ibom State Chapter Holds Inaugural Meeting of State Executive Committee

Despite today being a public holiday, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Akwa Ibom State Chapter held its inaugural meeting of the State Executive Committee, demonstrating the party’s commitment to hard work and dedication to the people of Akwa Ibom State.

The meeting, which commenced at 12noon and adjourned at 2pm, was chaired by the State Chairman, Rt. Hon (Elder) Aniekan Akpan who emphasized the importance of party unity and loyalty to the State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, who is the leader of the party in the state. He stressed that the party structure at the state level is inextricably linked to Governor, and directed the Members of the State Executive Committee to ensure that all stakeholders in their respective local government areas are aligned with the Governor’s vision.

The Chairman commended the outstanding performance of the State Governor, which has made the party’s job easier, and announced that the campaign calendar for the local government elections scheduled for October 5th, 2024, will be made public soon.

The meeting provided an opportunity for the newly inaugurated State Executive Committee members to meet, familiarize themselves, and prepare for the tasks ahead. An enlarged meeting followed, which included chairmanship candidates from Akwa Ibom State, further demonstrating the party’s commitment to inclusivity and collaboration.

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Akwa Ibom State Chapter is poised for greatness, and we are confident that with the leadership of our visionary State Chairman and the support of our members, we will achieve victory in the upcoming local government elections.
