Operatives of the Lagos State Police Command have arrested one Ujunwa Una and Chinelo Igbechionwu for conspiracy and child sales.
Police Public Relations Officer, Lagos State Command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin said the suspects were arrested by patrol officers from Ojodu Division stationed at Berger.
According to him, the newborns have been placed in the custody of a motherless baby’s home for proper care and medical evaluation.
He said while investigation is ongoing to arrest other conspirators, the arrested suspects were arraigned on Thursday, September 19, 2024.
