FACT CHECK: Photoshopped picture of Alex Otti dinning circulates online
A viral image showing the Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Otti eat at the dinning table with assorted foods has surfaced on social media.
The claim, the government in Abia state led by Alex Otti spent almost ₦1 billion on feeding and welfare in just three months
A whatsapp users, posted the photo with a post :
“Look at the Labour Party that said they are the change Nigeria needs. The government in Abia state led by Alex Otti spent almost ₦1 billion on feeding and welfare in just three months. Imagine this monumental recklessness! Even Tinubu, that is President has not spent that much in three months, and Obi and his Obidients are criticizing him viciously. Now watch them and their Arise Peoples Party pretend they have not heard of the shameful waste of taxpayers’ funds in Abia. They are too busy praying for the Naira to collapse against the dollar so they can dance naked for Tinubu. We no dey give shishi. But they give themselves billions! These are the people that want to fix Nigeria? More like fleece Nigeria!

The image had earlier been widely posted and shared by several Facebook users, as seen here , and here and shared on many WhatsApp accounts.
THE CLAIM
That the photo shows the government in Abia state led by Alex Otti spent almost ₦1 billion on feeding and welfare in just three months

THE FINDINGS
Findings by News Leaks Agency show that the claim is FALSE and the picture photoshopped.
When subjected to a Google Reverse Image search, the result shows the image has been altered.
The image of Nigerian big boy, Raymond Igbalodely popularly known as Hushpuppi living a luxury lifestyle in outside Nigeria contrary to what is seen in the manipulated image.
News Leaks Agency observed that Alex Otti’s never snap such picture.
THE VERDICT
