Olajumoke Badmus Refuses to Deliver Customer’s Clothes After Receiving Payment

Mariam Kingsley (not real name), an Ogun State-based student, has detailed how Olajumoke Suliyat Badmus, owner of Beachh Affairss, an online clothing outfit, refused to make a N30,400 refund to her after failing to deliver her order.

Kingsley told The Press that she made the payment to Badmus on April 14 after ordering the clothes on Instagram.

“On Sunday, April 14, I saw Badmus’ Instagram page while looking for somewhere to buy some clothes online. From the same page, which she named Jaaz_Fashion_Hub, I also saw a number and a link, and I clicked on it,” said Kingsley.

“During our conversation that same Sunday, she told me she had a weekend discount going on and that it would end by 1 pm. She went on to advise me to make good use of the opportunity by quickly buying clothes from her.”

Kingsley told The Press that she subsequently paid N30,400 to Badmus after choosing the clothes of her choice from her Instagram page.

Receipts of Some of the Payments Kingsley Made to Badmus

“I paid N30,400 for the clothes I bought and they were to be delivered to my address,” said Kingsley.

“After she confirmed receipt of the payment I made, she said the clothes would be delivered to me on or before April 18.

“Since that Sunday, however, Badmus has refused to deliver my order to me. She has been giving me excuses.

“At one point, she claimed she had given my order to a dispatch rider and that it was the rider that had been delaying the package delivery.

“When it became clear that she was not going to deliver the clothes I had paid for, I requested for a refund.”

Kingsley said Badmus would no longer respond to her via Instagram, phone calls and WhatsApp after she requested a refund.

The Press also gathered that the Jaaz_Fashion_Hub page Kingsley had made the order from was eventually disabled on April 22.

Further checks by The Press also revealed that an X user once complained of being defrauded by Badmus in 2023.

“Scam Alert! Looking for this girl. Please, I am Looking for this girl. Her phone number is +234 704 920 1708. She schooled in Yabatech. Her name is Badmus Suliyat Olajumoke. Please help retweet,” the user, with the name Dollypea, posted.

Another X user with the name Zee_iye also commented under Dollypea’s post, claiming she had been scammed by Badmus as well.

The Press made several phone calls to Badmus’ phone lines for comments on the matter on Tuesday, but they were not available. WhatsApp and text messages sent to the lines had also not been responded to at press time.
